“Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.” ~Coco Chanel
After spending all week listening to Christmas music I am completely amazed by the iconic style of some of the forgotten legends in fashion.
Roy Wood, Lead Singer of Wizzard, is the complete god of paint glam and style. I adore his sequins and giant hair! I love the fantasy of his style which I think will never be bad taste only regarded as style of that time. Wizzard’s classic video of I wish it could be Christmas everyday not only gets you in the Christmas spirit but give a boost of glamour and classic British rock magic.
So how have we adapted this look which I think definitively still has a place in fashion.
Quoting from Vogue
“Couture meets London girl cool at Danielle Scutt. Parisian style hair pieces took centre-stage with an amazing sky-high style created by Luke Hersheson (he and his team spent 3 days making the 16 pieces that matched each model’s hair colour exactly). To set off this extreme take on a classic, make-up artist Hannah Murray, splashed on a bright pink glitter lip. Ok, so it might not be your everyday wearable look but we absolutely LOVE it.”
