Sex and the City – “I see women every single day, all over New York City wearing scrunchies.”, Yes, Yes we do!
I Am So Addicted!
So I was flicking through Aprils Company Magazine and BANG! just when you thought the 90′s trend had exploded… the Scrunchie is back!
I guess it is hardly suprising with all the dinsey prints comics and Saved By The Bell gorgeous faded Tees trending around. I just thought I would never see day when a scrunchie was “cool” again
So in my usual charity shop hunt I came arcoss a super cute red velet one and its suprising how much a little thing for your hair can grow on you! I now love my scrunchie.I think this is going to be a massive summer trend! and it is probably one of the easiest to pull off and FUN
Featured in the April issue of Vogue one of the they most astounding repesentation of Scottish Fashion by Chanel The Metiers d’Art collection in Linlithgow Palace, Scotland.
Totally Beauiftul, dark tweeds, moody tartans and the iconic Aran Knit. The layering reminds me of a Vivienne Westwood’s passion for scottish traditional craft and showcasing this to the fashion world.
Motivated by a sense of being scottish is really portrayed in this collection. You can imagine the people of Scotland in these clothes and the hertiage behind them. This pestigous and iconic brand hosting our workmanship just shows the importance of keeping Scottish Craft Alive.
“[Coco] Chanel discovered knitwear here, she discovered tweed here. She came to Scotland with her lover the Duke of Westminster. Mary Stuart’s mother was French, her father was Scottish. She went to live in France and then came back as Queen of Scotland. So, there are many connections and I like that.”
Ah the smell of a fresh Vogue

As particapant in this years Spring Fling I have created a peice of art work for the up and coming Taster Exhibition! Starting at Gracefield Dumfries Fri 29 – Sun 31 March 2013
10am – 5pm Sun 10am – 4pm
This exhibition will be touring Dumfries and Galloway until the end of the month. This exhibition will be a glimpses of the creativity bubbling up for Spring Fling in May.
I have produced a example of the artwork I will be exhibiting called “Daisy” This is an Hand Silk Screen Print 60 x 60cm with multi coloured galloway skies and wilded florals – all contextualised by a classic Kirkcudbright Townscape. This piece of work is playful with scale and growth which I believe reflects the freedom in our landscape. <3

Red Valentines beautiful Grimms Fairytale Hansel and Gretel A/W 2013 has to be my favourite collection this year. It is folksy stylish warm with delicious velvets, rich reds, and classical florals. With delicate Victorian embroidery and ribbons, the styling is so gentle and has a classic porcelain red lip doll. If this is a sign of things to come winter is going to be magical.
